The UNA Mourns the Loss of Former Director Richard Alexander

It is with great sadness that the UNA informs the community of the passing of our friend, valued community member and former UNA Director Richard Alexander. Richard passed away on Sunday, September 8, just after 12 p.m.

Richard served on the UNA Board of Directors from 2012 to 2018, and was appointed to serve briefly on the Board in 2019. His valuable service and contribution to the UNA and the Board of Directors, as a leader and mentor, was greatly recognized and appreciated.

Richard played a key role in keeping our community vibrant and connected. His love and wisdom, sense of humour, kindness and patience will be dearly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.

Richard’s life will be celebrated on Saturday October 5, 2024 at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Kerrisdale.
