Road Closures: Longest Day Road Race & Vancouver Half Marathon

Please note that the Vancouver Half Marathon and The Longest Day Road Race will be taking place over the course of June 2024. See below for more information:

• The Longest Day Road Race  – Road Closures

The Longest Day Road Race is taking place on Friday, June 14 on the UBC campus. There will be road closures in place around campus from 6 to 9 p.m with no parking on East Mall from Eagles Drive to West 16th Avenue. Access to neighbourhood residences along West Mall will be from the southbound lane and flaggers will be on site to help traffic go through safely during the race hours.

• Vancouver Half Marathon – Road Closures

On Sunday, June 23 UBC will be hosting the Vancouver Half Marathon. This will be a full day event with road closures between 4 a.m. and 12 p.m., Impacts will be localized mostly to SW and NW Marine Drive around UBC. Minimal impacts are anticipated, however, to exit Wesbrook Place all traffic must use 16th Avenue from 7 to 10:15 a.m. since southbound SW Marine Drive will be fully closed.
