Revised Basketball Court Permit Application Submitted

Following community feedback to a permit application for the Wesbrook basketball court, UBC Properties Trust submitted a revised application that incorporates strategies to reduce noise for surrounding buildings on March 31, 2022.

Revisions to the application include increased distance from residential buildings (additional 30m) and planted berms along east and south sides to reduce noise.

The UNA has hired a third party noise consultant to conduct a study, and a noise report will be provided for the community prior to virtual public houses on April 20, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.:

• Register for the April 20, 2022, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. virtual public open house
• Register for the April 20, 2022,  7 – 8:30 p.m. virtual public open house

The application is scheduled for review by the UBC Development Permit Board on May 10, followed by the UNA Board on May 17, 2022.
