Metro Vancouver Stage 2 Water Restrictions
By UNA
Starting Friday, August 4, Metro Vancouver is moving to Stage 2 water restrictions.
The UNA is committed to complying with all water restrictions. To conserve water, the UNA will be installing tree bags in certain areas and transitioning to manual irrigation. This change will primarily be used for shrubs, trees, and flower beds. This means that trees, shrubs, and flower beds will be watered once a week, and the grassy areas around the UNA will turn brown.
Stage 2 restrictions prohibit residential lawn watering. Watering trees, shrubs, and flowers is permitted any day from 5:00 am to 9:00 am if using a sprinkler, or any time if hand watering or using drip irrigation. Please note, all hoses must have an automatic shut-off device.
