Call for Volunteers

This Fall, we have several volunteer opportunities that have have commitment levels of roughly two to three hours a week.

Our current openings are listed below:

Program Instructors and Facilitators | Fall Term | Sept. – Dec.
Volunteer-led programs are an incredible opportunity to gain leadership skills and support community development, while giving back to the community in a tangible way. These programs add vibrancy and robust programming to the UNA community.

For the Fall, we’re seeking volunteer instructors for the following programs at the Wesbrook Community Centre:

• English Conversation Instructors, with varying days and hours.
• Let’s Cook Club. The last Tuesday of each month | 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• Sewing and Mending Studio. | Sundays | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
• Community Lunch and Learn Lectures. | Thursdays | 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

We’re also seeking volunteers instructors for the following Seniors Events and Activities at the Wesbrook Community Centre this Fall:

•  Seniors’ Game Time. Mondays | 11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
• Computer Literacy for Seniors. Wednesdays | 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  & Saturdays | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• Dance Party Hosts. Saturdays | 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Playful Thursday Activity Hosts. Thursdays  | 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Afternoon Tea Hosts. Saturdays | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
• Seniors Program Support. Various days | includes set up/clean up for events, serving food at events, facilitating activities, etc.
