Seeking Neighbourhood Resident Member for UBC Development Permit Board

As part of their regulatory powers in relation to land use in the UNA neighbourhoods, the UBC Board of Governors (BOG) created a Development Permit Board whose primary function is to consider Development Permit applications within neighbourhoods for consistency with neighbourhood plan policies, the development handbook and other governance requirements.
The Development Permit Board’s composition includes one member who is a resident of one of the UBC neighbourhoods to provide a residential perspective. The UNA is assisting with the process by seeking candidates to recommend to UBC for this position. The requirements are as follows:

To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to the University Neighbourhoods Association at communications@myuna.ca highlighting your interest and qualifications by June 30, 2023.
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by the UNA with Campus and Community Planning participation. If selected, the successful individual will be expected to serve on the Development Permit Board for a minimum of two calendar years.
