Benefits

The UNA, on behalf of residents, arrange service agreements with UBC and the Vancouver Public Library (VPL) for access to facilities and services. The UNA Card is honoured by UBC and the VPL to verify UNA resident status. Presenting your UNA Card (plus photo ID) at various UBC recreational and cultural facilities, and the VPL gives you access to waived fees or reduced rates. The UNA also offers cardholders discounts to programs and services offered at our community centres.

  • Access to UBC Cultural Facilities

UNA residents contribute to UBC cultural facilities through the Neighbours Fund and enjoy free access and/or discounted rates when they present their UNA Card and photo ID (some conditions apply). (Before Your Visit: Please check the facility’s website in case of unscheduled/scheduled closures.)

The service agreement between the UNA and UBC for cultural facilities has recently changed and terms may not yet be reflected on their websites. We are coordinating with our partners to ensure a seamless transition during this time. For questions or concerns, please email support@myuna.ca.

  • Access to UBC Recreation Facilities

UNA residents contribute to UBC recreation facilities through the Neighbours Fund to enjoy reduced rates when they present their UNA Card and photo ID (some conditions apply). (Before Your Visit: Please check the facility’s website in case of unscheduled/scheduled closures.)

Residents must register for a UBC Recreation login and present their UNA Card to access reduced rate options.

    1. Create an online login with UBC Recreation.
    2. Send the following to recreation.help@ubc.ca:
      • Photo of your UNA Card

    3. After two business days, reduced rates will become available to you when registering using your UBC Recreation login online or in-person.

      Note:
UBC Athletics requires an annual verification of a valid UNA Card to continue accessing preferred rates, facilities and programs.
