Update on Rezoning Application for Cannabis Retail Store at UEL

On February 16, 2022, the UNA received word from Electoral Area A Director Jen McCutcheon that Minister of Municipal Affairs Josie Osborne has announced her decision to support the rezoning application for a cannabis store within the UEL (located at 5784 University Boulevard). Minister Osborne’s decision was the first stage of the decision-making process for this application. The second stage of this process will be a decision by the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors.

Director McCutcheon provides more information about the process on her website and assured residents that all feedback that was received had been submitted to the Electoral Area Committee and the Metro Vancouver Board.
